Black Undergraduate Law Association at Michigan State University

Our Mission
Black Undergraduate Law Association at Michigan State University is charged with empowering and advancing students interested in law. Committed to propelling the next generation of leaders, we intend to bridge the gap in knowledge, access and resources for our diverse member body.
Benefits
Mentorship
BULA is in partnership with the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) at Michigan State University's College of Law. We hold an annual BULA x BLSA Mixer where the undergraduate students are able to connect with law students. Rest assure that we will provide the resources and guidance you need to succeed.
Bridging the Gap
The goal is to grow you professionally and academically. You should have access to the means necessary to succeed as you prepare for law school. Throughout the academic school year, we will host events on race & justice, the LSAT, the law school admissions process, internships in the field and how to afford law school.
We will also host law admissions directors from universities across the country to come speak to our students about their specific programs.
Networking
The organization will invite Black law professionals (e.g. attorneys, judges, professors, lobbyists, law admissions directors) to provide insight and speak on their first-hand experience in the field. There will also be events with alumni who can provide invaluable information for your roadmap to law school. We recognize that representation is power and connecting you with Black professionals who have charted the path already is essential.
